Wedding Guest Attire
Our wedding will be a celebration of both of our cultures, and we're excited to see it reflected in our guests' attire as well! Throughout the wedding weekend, our families will be wearing a mix of Western and Indian attire, and we invite you to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable while celebrating with us.
If you'd like to embrace the celebration by wearing Indian attire to our Mehndi, we've put together a few style ideas and shops to help you explore your options.
For Women
-
Indo Western — a mix of Indian and Western clothing, often sold as separates (top, bottom, and a statement piece such as a matching scarf called a dupatta, or a vest).
-
Salwar Kameez or Sharara — a long tunic top worn over pants, paired with a matching dupatta.
-
Lehenga — a long, full skirt paired with a fitted top and a matching dupatta.
For Men
-
Kurta Set — A long tunic top (kurta) worn over straight pants.
-
Indo Western — a mix of Indian and Western clothing, often a structured jacket or blazer worn over a kurta set.
Shop
-
Aza Fashion — A wide range in style and price points, ships internationally.
-
Etsy — This option is great for custom and made-to-measure outfits.
-
Amazon — A great option for fast shipping within the U.S. and budget-friendly finds.
If you're in the Chicago area, we highly recommend visiting Zari Boutique in the Northwest Suburbs. We're familiar with the shop and if you mention you're shopping for Rohan & Jordan's Mehndi, they'll be happy to help you find something perfect for the celebration!
